As an aside, I've been seeing bundles of Dunhill bands like this for a long time. Makes me very hesitant to buy any vintage Dunhill whatsoever. Nino
Yep, what a great service that is - I am sure there are many "collectors" out there who need 250 bands ....
Ryan
I remember a discussion years ago in a place far far away about Dunhill Cabinettas. Many Collectors, especially in one part of the world, had them and were smoking them. All had been bought as singles or bundles, no boxes. Most of those could trace the source back to one seller. Someone did some investigation and it turned out that the bands were off. It was the gold embossed curved strip around the "d" not coming down far enough. None of these buyers had a box of Dunhill, just the banded cigars. And none of them had ever bought a Cuban Dunhill cigar in the in the Dunhill shop in London. That shop still had them for sale there from collections until at least May 2010. I know. I was there, those cigars had never left Dunhill since arriving in the UK. Dunhill Malecon were going for £50 each, Estupendos for £70. Under-priced even then for sure, but there were some there. I only ever bought one Malecon, not knowing at the time how quickly they would go. Also, it could be said that the staff there at the time didn't really know what they were sitting on. I know a few sellers of Cuban cigars but there are fewer than 5 people in the world who I would trust to know if they were selling me real Dunhills or not.
