Vegas Robaina Famosos BSM ENE 20 (49SRW)

First box of the VR recently purchased to mix things up some.  How have I overlooked these for so long?  

After watching Rob and Ken's video review of the Famoso, I can't disagree with much of Rob's assessment, other than the lack of enthusiasm for how good this stick really is.    

The 6 or 7 I've had have proved to be consistently good, even though they practically fell off the rolling table moments ago.  Have had a hard time keeping my hands off of them.  Had this for my sunday morning breakfast smoke with a huge-assed mug of joe. 

This one had a bit of a tunneling issue in the middle.  All other have been perfectly rolled.  Still hit the mark in the flavor department.  Earth, coffee, lightly roasted something-or-another, chocolate, leather, very light sweetness.  Well balanced and rich.  Medium strength and body.    

These have been described as "lush."  I've searched my peabrain for another term.  I got nothin'.  Lush is fitting.    

Don't see these as ones really needing age.  I think the freshness pulls everything together like rug in the Big Lebowski.    

Glad I discovered these.  An "A-" in my book.   

Now for the elusive Unicos.  Definitely need to find out what's going on there.

I'm about to do a Famosos review myself but this review pretty much nails it. 

The Famosos are an extremely unique cigar. They really aren't actually that strong, but they seem strong. They aren't that full, but they seem full. Lush is, indeed, the best way to put it. They're not super rich, but they have plenty of flavor. Construction and burn is usually very good. Rarely do I get a dud. Definitely 1% or less fail rate. Always a 92 pointer I can count on. 

Been a regular rotation smoke for me since 17. I've always preferred them to the Unicos which seem to be more subdued.

Cinnamon was a prominent flavor I got. Add me to the list of people who have loved these young!
