El Presidente Posted November 15, 2020 Share Posted November 15, 2020 I haven't seen one of these before. Musical Cigarette Lighter, made by Sankyo, in Japan in the 1940's. Lighter is gold plated over brass. The all original lighter is in full working order, including the music box held within the lower case. The music number it plays is "Smoke Gets In Your Eyes". It will never beat the one time I was in Singapore, sitting in a karaoke bar, and some Japanese guy paid a bucket load of money to be able to sing "Smoke Gets In Your Eyes" for the next 30 minutes. Smoke definitely wasn't in my eyes, but anything I could plug into my ears to stop the bleeding was! Now I can never hear that song without cringing a little.
