Partagas Mille Fleurs 2018 (MC2020RW )

Outstanding affordable petite corona that ticks all the boxes for me. Always tasty, but never an adventure in taste. You could even say one dimensional throughout but at the very least you know what your getting and that’s what I like about them.
Always well constructed with slight box press. Upon lighting, draw is always good, just right for me, razor sharp burn, lovely long ash, lots of smoke, never any issues.

Cedar, leather, earth are prominent, occasional hint of coffee or nutmeg, slight spice/ pepper at the end. That’s it, classic partagas, and always like this for me. Nice rich smoke  and never above medium throughout.
Sometimes you want something that will not disappoint for a 45 min  or so smoke. I find when I can’t decide what to choose I naturally gravitate to a Partagas Mille Fleur, and it rarely disappoints, especially with a couple of years or longer on them.

One of my go to petite coronas as well, always have a box or 2 around

Still want to grab a box to compare to the short. I have gone through 10 or so boxes of shorts but have yet to have a MF. Cant recall the last time I have seen a MF on 24:24

To me definitely more spice/pepper in the other Partagas small cigars vs the shorts. But I also got a 2/3 plugged box of MF this year...

Shame to hear about the plugs. Sounds like it is worth grabbing a box as I generally like spice and pepper being a Nicaraguan smoker for many years.

Definitely worth a try then. MF, Petit Coronas Especiales and Super Partagas are all pretty consistent and similar to me, haven't had enough of the habaneros or aristocrats to say if they are also the same (but I'd probably say so based on the few I've had).

I always just went with the shorts as the "shorts vs (blank)" discussions always came up with the shorts as clear winners from forum members. Thanks for the info!

Shorts are definitely more premium as they were always handmade, vs these others which were machine made until 2002. But yeah the blend is different, so it depends what you like. I like shorts more now, but the first time I had one it was just so different that I didn't take well to it.

From the ones I have had, I think the Habaneros are the strongest (maybe because of the thinner ring guage) and the PCE seem more subtle with the MFs somewhere in between.
