Popular Post Happy2BeHere Posted October 24, 2020 Popular Post Posted October 24, 2020 Always looking for an excuse to sample my small collection of “special occasion” cigars! Cold draw: effortless, but not too loose either, I could smell the cocoa & a floral note on the foot pre-light. I paired this with coffee & heavy whipping cream, and a glass of Ron Zacapa 23. After carefully toasting, I get an immediate creamy, rich mocha flavor coating my palate. After a few more moments, that perfect Cuban buttery twang joins in. This is a much larger ring gauge than I typically prefer, but it can still be so satisfying to enjoy a big cigar. Not a huge flavor evolution, but the Cuban twang was replaced by a stronger tobacco & earthy flavor the second half of the cigar. What stuck out the whole time was just how smooth, creamy, and rich this cigar is. Overall very satisfying to smoke in the fall before it’s too cold to be outside for a cigar of this size. The rest will likely be put away for years to come, but glad for the excuse to pull one out & get a preview of what I’m in for when I have a celebration that warrants one of these in the future! 19
Connoisseur Kim Posted October 25, 2020 Posted October 25, 2020 Monte Leyenda is my all time 100pts CC! Wish I have more boxes of Leyenda in my stash ? 2
Gorangutang Posted October 25, 2020 Posted October 25, 2020 That is a beautiful looking cigar from the foot to the color of the wrapper all the way to the cap. Bet it was a great smoke. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 3
