Popular Post BuzzArd Posted October 6, 2020 Popular Post Posted October 6, 2020 I had one 6 months ago. It wasn’t to my liking. I bought two At that time to see if some time down improved things. Yesterday was the day. Very nicely rolled, closed foot box pressed cigar. smell is dark chocolate and leather. Clipped the cap and got a typical closed foot, snug draw. Fresh, sweet tobacco and leather on the palate even at cold. Upon lighting the draw opened right up. Definitely a leather spine, but this time there was some sweetness in the chocolate and espresso notes that were part of the core of the smoke throughout. Not much in the way of change until the final third. It developed a bitterness then that I imagine would wane over time. I still like the 2016 TAA from Tatuaje the best, but this one was awfully good. Perfect construction. No relights even after heading in to make a round of drinks for me and my wife. I’d rate it a solid 90 9

Tommy_Tao Posted October 6, 2020 Posted October 6, 2020 Nice non Cuban cigars review! Tatuaje TAA series is harder to find than Habanos for those who live outside the states. In my lucky experience of trying some Tatuaje TAAs from different years, I'd say the flavor profiles are roughly the same - leather, chocolate and pepper, while there're some years perform better than others. Also heard the new regular production Mexican Experiment II is very much like a TAA. Ordered a box on the way. 2
Hoepssa Posted October 6, 2020 Posted October 6, 2020 Good cigar, Tatuaje keeps making good TAA series cigars. Smooth with no edge, though I love their TAA 2019 (cactus head logo) more than their 2020

Kind of like the Aroma de Cuba by Pepin, but a little more spice and cream. 1
