Popular Post CampDelta369 Posted September 4, 2020 Popular Post Posted September 4, 2020 H.Upmann Connossieur A LMB SEP 18 (HURWR) The construction on these have been a bit loose with a light draw. Good smoke production but I have to go slow to maintain flavors profile I think. Wrapper has a nice color with a fine tooth. 1/3: Starts out under medium with mild wood, cream, slight earthiness. Retrohale is enjoyable with zero spiciness. Burn is good with slight touch up at end of third. Very subtle flavors here as in the opposite of a Mag 46 slap in the face. I understand why this pairs so well with an ice cold Albariño in summertime. Not much changing here. Very straight forward mild-medium smoke. 2/3: A touch of sweet biscuits and tea show up here although we are unchanged in strength. I feel like I'm waiting for something to happen. The flavors step up a bit at the half pole as burn and smoke production are excellent. 3/3: Although strength goes to medium there was not a lot of change here with wood dominating the finish. I feel some more aging is warranted to flesh out the final third. Overall an enjoyable smoke at solid 89 5
rcarlson Posted September 5, 2020 Posted September 5, 2020 Love these young. Complex enough that age couldn't hurt. But a little surprised you couldn't muster somewhere in the 90s for 'em. They're like Connie 1's more sophisticated older brother and Mag 50's better looking younger brother. 1
CampDelta369 Posted September 5, 2020 Author Posted September 5, 2020 I have found them excellent well but this was a bit under filled Which probably effected the review. Still very enjoyable. Next one I expect crackers!
NSXCIGAR Posted September 5, 2020 Posted September 5, 2020 I found the 17-18 Connie As I had to be much lighter than in the past. Haven't had any 19s but I've found the 17-19 Connie 1s to be much more satisfying. 1
