Connoisseur Kim Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 I didn't notice that Zippo officially released torch flame insert on this February until I saw Rob Gagner from Boveda reviewed these inserts on Youtube. It has single and double flame insert options, so it might be good option for Zippo owners who want to get official torch inserts for cigars IMHO. https://www.zippo.com/pages/lighter-inserts?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIjpjNxvvY5wIVh_5kCh1THgWyEAAYASAAEgKTlfD_BwE 3
Bri Fi Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 My buddy uses one and I borrow it when I smoke with him. It works great for not much of a hit on the wallet. Overall good product for the price (I think he paid like $35 between the zippo and the insert). 1

The price of official Zippo Single Torch Flame is just $14.95, which is absolutely no brainer ? 1
nKostyan Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 The disadvantage is a small gas tank, it quickly runs outх 4
nubase Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 True it is a small tank but I find it works great for a quick session and has been darn reliable so far. I had a couple Zippo bodies already so for the price under $15 it is a great deal. Here it is in the wild (you'll have you take my word for it since it is closed in the picture). Of course, it has smaller fuel tank than torch lighters, but it's still good for Zippo lighter owners who puff cigars IMHO. I prefer traditional single jet flame torches like XIKAR Executive II (will add Dupont Defi Extreme too), but might get Zippo and its torch insert as well. 2
Isaac Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 I went with the double torch and find the burn is a bit too broad. I should’ve done the single. Quality insert. I have been using it over the past month. 2
Colt45 Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 I've been using the Vector Thunderbird butane torch flame Zippo insert for years. Very reliable, but as has already been mentioned, the capacity is wanting. Vector also makes a butane soft flame insert, which I also have, but have not yet used. 1

I'm sure you'll enjoy official torch inserts from Zippo as well, although they're still having small fuel capacity ?
Akela3rd Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 I've had one for a couple of months now and it's excellent. It's nice to have a Zippo that I can use with cigars at last and it's become my go-to lighter. There's just something good about the weight and sound of a Zippo. Sent from Cosmos Redshift 7 2

It makes Zippo usable for ligthing CCs in a good way! ??
Str8BlkCoffee Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 I have one of the 40's styled brass Zippo's with the duel torch insert. 1
DoctorOctagon Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Can anyone say how well these work in higher elevation? The z-Plus insert I have is worthless. I never have any issues with my 12+ year old ronson jetlites, but I would love to have my zippo cigar-ready. That brass boy and I have been through hell and back.
