Popular Post La_Tigre Posted May 5, 2020 Popular Post Posted May 5, 2020 Round 2 of the Alex/Reynaldo versus match. This is a type of cigar we refer to as the QuadC* category. A Reynaldo shagfoot strongman, the Hog, weighing in at 34 grams and ~70 RG wingspan, there is no chance this will make it past the final third even with us sharing it. This one was v-cut to the preference of my partner in crime. My poor Firebird Viper laughed at putting a micro divot in the moon; I chiseled it 5 times. ? Cold draw was strong tobacco, woodsy. Draw was perfect. Now, where did I leave my flamethrower.... 1st third: Strong as advertised with full body. Thick clouds of fragrant earthy smoke. Oak wood chips and tobacco. 2nd third. Opens up with more complexity. Some spices and sweet notes but still very earthy/woodsy. The burn overall is impressive considering. I only touched it up a couple of times on the wrapper. Already feeling like a Two Xanax coma by mid point. Granted we are both lightweights when it comes to nicotine, but.... Final third. Tingling nicotine started well before the final third. The intensity is really picking up. Judging by the burn time so far, this is a 2.5 hour cigar. We will not make it anywhere close; this is where we will shortly call it a night. These will benefit from many years in the humidor with the rest of my Reynaldo stash. Very different in contrast to the Double Lancero Alex custom. Very enjoyable smoke and flavor if not our preferred size. ???? * QuadC: Coke Can C#%K Cigar 5 1
Connoisseur Kim Posted May 6, 2020 Posted May 6, 2020 Connoisseur Kim another one!It looks bigger than I expected (80RG NC perfecto review from other FOH member looked even bigger than this cigar)! @Habana Mike, I wans't able to do Monte 1 review, since the weather was so garbage due to raining, too congested with children all over the place (Korea has holiday for children on every 5th of May and it's obviously called Children's Day). Will do a review in next sessions.
