Popular Post BuzzArd Posted April 11, 2020 Popular Post Posted April 11, 2020 Last one in my humidor and I only ever had a couple, sadly.... I believe it’s ROL JUN 13, but if not I’ll make an edit later. This one was a tad rough with a split foot and some wrapper peeling near the head and elsewhere. I did touch it up with a bit of cigar glue earlier in the day in anticipation of the evening arson ritual. Overall an even, claro colored wrapper with few minor veins. Straight cut revealed a fairly loose draw, but despite this trait its construction didn’t indicate it would be under filled. Sweet tobacco flavor at cold with perhaps a foreshadowing of the floral character to come. After an easy lighting a blast of sweet flowers coated my palate. It was intense. Far more so than any other cigar I can recall smoking. Copious amounts of smoke rolled off the foot. Retrohale revealed a hint of spice. This profile persisted throughout the entire sample and was not at all disappointing. In the second third some faint vanilla flavors came and went into the mix, and this would be the profile I experienced throughout. In discussion with @JohnS via the virtual herf last night he mentioned a nutty, almond presence as well, but I couldn’t appreciate any nuttiness in this stick. The only thing nuts about it was how amazing it was.... Construction proved to be more than adequate without defects in fill. Burn was perfection throughout. One relight required at the half, probably because I was talking too much and I was definitely trying to smoke this one slowly and allow it to deliver at it’s own pace. I put it down when I just couldn’t hold it without burning myself. At this point the floral had backed off considerably giving was to a bitter spice and vanilla. Within a few minutes I was craving more and found a hemostat to help manage the job of finishing it off. Truly a remarkable cigar. 20

fastkiller13 Posted April 11, 2020 Posted April 11, 2020 Why is this the first time I’m learning you had this cigar? You holding out on me? I think I’m going to have to show up for an inspection. Hopefully I have to confiscate a few cigars. *don’t have too. 1

Really good to know my senses aren’t as completely dull as I often think they are. A nuttiness to that cigar would have likely been sensory overload. It was perfect as it was. 1
