Chibearsv Posted March 29, 2020 Posted March 29, 2020 This is from one of my first 24:24 purchases since finding this forum. Very nice looking cigar, chocolate wrapper, apparently beautiful construction. Took the 1st picture under a cool white LED bulb which isn't giving it justice. Cold aroma is chocolate, weak coffee, and very slight barnyard. Draw is perfect for me with a very slight resistance. From opening to nub: There wasn't any transition throughout: smooth and light to medium, mild bittersweet chocolate, mild spice (not pepper), some woodiness, and mild floral. Can't put my finger on the floral but it's a pleasant floral aroma that lingers a little the nose like literally smelling flowers. My palate isn't refined enough to describe which spice is there, but it's definitely not any kind of pepper. Very well balanced, burned perfectly, very nice. 75 minutes. This isn't a wow cigar, this is a no surprises cigar. A solid A- 4
rcarlson Posted March 29, 2020 Posted March 29, 2020 I am an Edmundo sucker. They are truly love-hate. I've had enough to say that they have about a 25% "wow" factor and a 25% "are you bastards just effin' me" from any one box. The ones in between cover the range of construction and flavor. I can't figure what it is with the inconsistency. It's not an exotic size or blend. The DE have always disappointed. Since they've have gone way up in price I can't bring myself to go for them. The PE's have been more consistently good IMO. But I'll always be willing to climb back on the Edmundo roller coaster. The sporadic "wows" make them worth the ride for me. 4
