Chibearsv Posted February 22, 2020 Posted February 22, 2020 The video review motivated me to pull a RASS APR 2019 and give it a try. I will say I have not enjoyed my prior experiences with RASS. I found them harsh for my taste with a prominence of a burnt prune like flavor and pepper...but with nearly a year on the current box, there has been a very pleasant change. Any harshness is almost gone and the flavors now start with a stewed prune flavor and morphed as Rob described to very sweet (fructose?), mild fruit, and a bit of earthiness. I'm beginning to understand the praise and smoked it to the nub. The beauty of FOH is the honest reviews from Ken and Rob and the rest of the FOH community along with recommendations for aging.
