Popular Post PigFish Posted February 11, 2020 Popular Post Posted February 11, 2020 Roughing it in Reno! So it is another tough day on the road at my project. Yes, I have been working for a few too many hours now, but I do know how to spend my ‘own time.’ Yes, I could go down and further contribute to the wealth of REIT that owns this casino, or I can get myself out a nice little cigar, do a review for the board, and make some tough decisions…! Like! Do I want to smoke in a robe, or in the spa…? And for a really though one, what to smoke? · ’02 Diplomaticos #3 · ’03 Grandes de Espana · ’01 Diplomaticos #1 I do have to get up early tomorrow, so I have better stick with iced tea and decided on the ’02 Diplomaticos. The looks of this cigar is nothing special. The wrapper is a dark colorado, rough hewn, box pressed. The cigar is a dull satin. She is firm, a bit brittle… just the way I like them. The cigar is extremely light in the hand, retracted from the band. The draw is easy and loose… not really what I like. I love a lady that presents a least a little challenge. However, with this firm a cigar, I know that I have not been cheated on tobacco. This is the way they used to make them. Fill them with tobacco, all the right kinds, and bunch it with some care. She took to flame really easy. I cannot recall a cigar that lit so easily in a long time. I mean everything says, too loose, gonna tunnel… NO way! I was immediately hit with this lush sweet smoke. I mean I thought I was smoking some candy cigar here. Sweet, floral, light bodied… just lovely. You know, I prefer a cigar that is a bit more robust. Is it because this is a D-3, and I know that I love them? Am I just biased…? What the hell, I don’t care. This is a damn nice smoke. There is not a sting or pepper anywhere near this cigar. Harsh is literally a mile away. What a perfect way to end a day. Frankly, I am a little pressed to smoke it aggressively. It would be a wrong move so I pour myself a little libation, yes I remember the comment about the tea... and decide to concentrate a little less on the cigar, and take my time. Even the smoke on the nose is easy going. Look folks, this is a damn nice smoke and I am going to spend the rest its life relaxing, not typing, not thinking about the cigar, just enjoying it. Last one into the spa is a rotten egg! Thanks for reading! -the Pig 14 1
BoliDan Posted February 11, 2020 Posted February 11, 2020 Nice review, diplomaticos would do well to go back to at least one 42 rg. Ha, your hotel room looks like one of those sexy rooms meant for newly weds. Sleep on top of the blankets piggy! 1
El Presidente Posted February 11, 2020 Posted February 11, 2020 Thank you for sparing us the spa photo 1
rcarlson Posted February 11, 2020 Posted February 11, 2020 Hope you didn't climb into that petri dish.
Jbhunter223 Posted February 11, 2020 Posted February 11, 2020 I have most of a box from ‘01. And I love them, only one tight one so far. This makes me want to light one up but it’s too damn cold still!
PigFish Posted February 11, 2020 Author Posted February 11, 2020 You guys sterilize cigars before placing them in your gob? Nope! This little piggy went right into the acrylic pond! Slept in the bed, used the pillows, and even the little bottle of body wash! I even eat at a restaurant..... What’s Bwnas’ saying? Life is no dress rehearsal?
PigFish Posted February 12, 2020 Author Posted February 12, 2020 Man... taking in the Diplo 1 as I type. In a nice cigar friendly joint called the Hard Water House. Damn nice place to spend an hour with my Diplomaticos #1. Damn... it was better than the #3. This cigar is killer! Pic when I have better internet service. Cheers all...! The Pig 3
