Popular Post benfica_77 Posted December 30, 2019 Popular Post Posted December 30, 2019 A pleasant 90 min documentary on the Davidoff NC factories in the Dominican. There is an explanation of why they chose Henke and his factory when Davidoff was planning on moving away from Cuba in the 90s. Also the attention to detail is impressive, makes you appreciate how many people were involved in the cigar you might be smoking at this very moment. 3 4
bbguardsp Posted January 3, 2020 Posted January 3, 2020 Interesting to me how much more I've learned about cigars in general from the NC world compared to Cuba. Docs like this and even more so the multitude of podcasts interviewing cigar makers teach valuable information I just can't find through Tabacuba/HSA.

I consider it part of the CC mystique, but the truth assuredly lies elsewhere. I watched the entirety of the doc and learned quite a bit. While I consider most of Davidoff's offerings a bit muted for my tastes, I certainly now have a much greater respect for the company and its approach. The pricing starts to become more understandable in light of the processes discussed in the doc. 1 1
