Here is Ryan's post on the subject.

He took the family last year. Looked like a glorious time and Nicola told us she loved it!

Helps to have a connection or two ;)

Interesting to note, there is not a lot of "Christmas" on the island. You may spot a tree  or some lights in the occasional home but nothing much in public.

No brainer there. Religion and it's holidays are banned there. Sad.

Di ad I had a great time in Cuba over Christmas 2017. 

christmas is low key but certainly celebrated. We spent it with Jose, Toby, John, Roberto, etal.  Great week of celebrations. 

The weather is generally great and nothing appeared overly busy. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Spending the new year in Havana is a tradition for me.  I usually go in on the 30th, and stay for a week.  The NYE party at the Tropicana is EPIC.  Great weather, not many tourists .

 

Wait...what am I saying..it's a TERRIBLE time to go ?
