Subcomandante Posted November 22, 2019 Posted November 22, 2019 So I’m still getting into cigars and more recently Cubans. I recently purchased a Montecristo Linea 1935 sampler here. Saw the reviews on here and the description is much more chocolate flavor and good reviews specially the Leyenda. I have never smoked a classic Montecristo. My question is do you recommend that I try a classic Montecristo like a #2 or something before trying a Linea 1935? Or jump in and try them when i get them after some rest? I mean you only get one first impression. Kinda like learning how to drive in a sports car then getting your license and only being able to drive a minivan. I’d hate to be let down by regular Montecristos in the future.
Hammer Smokin' Posted November 22, 2019 Posted November 22, 2019 start with a media corona then a petite edmondo then a #2 once those beauties are complete, spark up your Leyenda. 2 2

Connoisseur Kim Posted November 22, 2019 Posted November 22, 2019 Linea 1935 (had Dumas and Leyenda before) is Montecristo on steroids while Classic Montecristo has signature powerful coffee, spice, and some earthy notes (reviewed aged No. 4 only so far). For Linea 1935, I recommend you to get Leyenda as it is the best of the bunch. However, since you don't have many Classic Montecristo cigars yet, I suggest that you grab Classic Montecristo Staples such as No. 2, No. 4, PE, and Edmundo first before getting into Linea 1935, since they are different as I mentioned above. 1 1

I agree great advice. I would only add one more step, being the Monte Especial. Given a choice in dumping £300 quid on a box. I know where I'd park my cash 1
