We already have a system for that... I have a fair amount of wine shipped to me and the law requires the shipper to receive a signature from someone over 21.

I'd love to have that kind of thing here. It would be easier to buy online. Now, if you don't run your own business you cannot buy tabacco products online.

As usual there is the fine print--$12.00 minimum retail price.

For online NC sales that means that 95%+ of cigar sales would still be banned.    I have never paid that much for an NC on-line (but I have been a serious bargain hunter with almost infinite patience--let me tell you about the time I scored Opus Xs at $8...  ?   ).

I put up an Edit on that.  Hopefully they will move on that before it is passed.....

from what i have read, i'd consider getting this much is a huge win. very hard to see it going further at this stage.

now, if i am rob, i am raising the price of any cigar below $12 to $12 and that way he can still sell all the cubans. and before anyone whinges, remember that in australia, we can't buy a band for $12 let alone a cigar.

My (unsolicited ?  ) win win marketing advice would be to package high-end with lower end boxes to average $12 a stick--two box specials.

This will shift my buying strategy!   And I see the Australian prices and can't believe them....

it is an interesting thought and i'll be fascinated to see what happens but if i am drafting the legislation, i am making certain i cover loopholes like that. not hard.

... that has got to be one of the damned dumbest things I have heard this week! God help us!

Tobacco bad, heroin good! Christ!!!

In nations with "legalized" heroine, there isnt many ODs, crime has drastically dropped, and he spread of STDs from sharing needles has plummeted. They have gov run entities where you can go up to 3 times a day and be shot up with grade A 100% real deal heroine and I believe insurance picks up the tab. Business professionals do this...

Doing real deal smack is no different than getting that script of morphine after your surgery... which as I'm sure you know, led to this current epidemic. Doctors gave away opiates like candy for decades. The gov stepped in and cut EVERYONE off overnight. Next they legalized weed so the mexicans no longer grow weed, they now grow poppy. To top all that off, the Asians hack the recipe for Fentanyl and give it to the cartels. It's no longer an exclusive club. Anyone can afford it.

We need population control every chance we get. For that reason alone it will not become legal. I do feel really bad for the children that are exposed to this at a young age. Adult junkies get no sympathy from me. Disease my ass. They are weakminded and have no will power.
