Popular Post PrairieSmoke Posted September 6, 2019 Popular Post Posted September 6, 2019 Pulled out a good looking single I had sitting in a drawer. Uncertain of the code on this one, but know it was a 2018 box. Cazadores are a RyJ offering that I enjoy with a strong cup of coffee while I work. These are not complex and even in the Lonsdale format there isn’t a lot of evolution. What the cazadores has is strength. This cigar packs a wallop of flavor which pretty much boils down to cedar and some jammy undertones. This isn’t like the clear cherry flavor I get from the more delicate offerings from RyJ, but rather a gritty saturated jam. If you have tried RyJ and passed on it because you felt it was too light bodied, you owe it to yourself to try the cazadores. This particular example is young and was firing on all cylinders. It got a little harsh as a neared the band as expected for its age. All in all the cazadores are one of the cigars I enjoy coming back to on certain occasions because I know exactly what I’m getting. This example was no different - full blast cedar and jam. I’d give this stick a 90. 6
Cairo Posted September 6, 2019 Posted September 6, 2019 I have smoked one out of a box of 2018s and I thought it was overpowering and (as you say) harsh and needed some serious down time. 1
Ry27 Posted September 6, 2019 Posted September 6, 2019 I enjoy RyJ, but I will likely NEVER smoke this blend as I am a total nicotine lightweight. Its actually quite annoying as I love the flavor other some of the stronger marcas Nice review, great looking cigar, too 1
Derboesekoenig Posted September 7, 2019 Posted September 7, 2019 Throw 'em in the humi and forget. 6-8 yrs or more on them does wonders (if it's a quality box to begin with). Thank me later 1
