Tricky one. I would say that both franchises have a similar number of trash films (the star wars  prequel trilogy and all the new Disney films have been poor).

i would save Star Wars though as I like the original trilogy more than the matrix. It’s a tough one though!

You guys keeping thinking only movies. Star Wars has the Expanded Universe (before Disney called it non-canon).

Easy to chose Star Wars. The matrix was a great movie, but all the sequels were basically rubbish

If I had my way the first Matrix film and the original Star Wars trilogy minus the digital additions would be saved. The rest of the films seemed thrown together just to cash in on the brands. Start over and give fans a better product.

But if you choose Star Wars, just to kill off the new films, you also kill off the original. It's all or nothing, not pick and choose like at a salad bar.
