Popular Post nKostyan Posted August 25, 2019 Popular Post Posted August 25, 2019 This box was brought last year from LCDH Havana.Wrapper is Colorado-Maduro with Maduro spots, it is rare for QdO. Smell at cold: smoked spiced meat. This is a characteristic smell for Cuban Maduro. A bit of a hard draw, high density rolled. 1/3: a medium-high body, medium strength. Roasted tobacco, oak wood, a bit of acid, bitter cocoa, espresso. I think it need to be paired with cappuccino or coffee&milk. The cigar warmed up and became softer, added sweet cream (maybe it's the taste of the drink), and the sharp corners of oak and acidity disappeared - a good balance. Coffee with milk is in good harmony with the taste of cigars. Burning a bit not smooth, a lighter helps. 2/3: the taste has become almost round, it is a sign of the nobility of the Cigar. There is a good balance of taste, body and strength - the average level. No.50 often has the disadvantage of - rapid attenuation due to the small amount of Ligero, but this cigar burns perfectly, allowing you to leave and take long breaks. 3/3: I smoked only a centimeter, because I have no more time for smoking this cigar. In addition, the smoke has become aggressive and hot. Conclusion: of course this cigar has a good aging potential, I will try it after a while, waiting for taste improvements. But now I'm ready to put this cigar 4/5 stars. Smoking time - 1.5 hours 12 1
Chucko8 Posted August 25, 2019 Posted August 25, 2019 Great review and articulation on the flavours as always. Enjoyable read and nice photos to go with it. 1
RDB Posted August 25, 2019 Posted August 25, 2019 Seems like there’s quite a difference between these darker-wrapper QdOs and the (more common?) lighter shades. I’d guess these dark ones have more ageing potential, but not so pleasurable when young. 2
Raskol Posted August 25, 2019 Posted August 25, 2019 Great review and pictures. Thank you. Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk 1

SenorPerfecto Posted August 25, 2019 Posted August 25, 2019 The “aggressive and hot” will not improve with age, it’s the way these cigars go if you smoke them anything but verrrry slowly. theyre tops!

It took him an hour and half to smoke it. Pretty sure that's slow enough for a cigar of this size.

KavalanWhisky Posted August 26, 2019 Posted August 26, 2019 Do you know why there is a colour change in the ash? I've had that happen on a couple of cigars I've smoked but not sure why.
