Pre Light Draw - Nuts, Slight Honey Note, Earthy Hay

When I cut this one there was sort of a recessed punch in it as well. A new trend? Cut/Punch combo?

 

First Third - Sweet Hay, Toasted Nuts, Milk Chocolate, Coffee

Nice even burn throughout.

Nice clean burn as well great looking ash.

 

Second Third - Burnt Cocoa/Dark Roast Coffee/Biscuit throughout. Slight citrus aftertaste nearing the halfway point of the second third.

Still burning clean and even through the second third.

 

Final Third - Roasted Coffee, Dark Chocolate, Spice on the retrohale.

Haven’t had to touch up the burn once, past the halfway point on this box of 25 and I must say they have all been great.

 

Rating: 90/100

I’m tempted to let the final 10 take a nap for a few years to see how they develop.

Total Smoking Time: 62 Minutes

Nice review and pics. I had just been fishing around and thinking about trying one form 2017 for this review weekend. The ash sure is a nice looking one!

One of my favorites.  I can't see a reason to age mune any.  They're just perfect the way they are. 

Okay, I'll stash a couple just see if I live with more regrets or not.

Funny though.  All of mine have that "recessed punch" too.  The Mag 46 has been the same.  I've had it consistently in others (PE2, HU A), but I'm guessing there' something about the rolling technique for this size because it's a near guarantee.
