Popular Post BuzzArd Posted July 15, 2019 Popular Post Posted July 15, 2019 It’s our 29th Anniversary! Great day to relax and reflect.... Also, being Being Bastille Day, I figured to go all out on French offerings. These Secretos were picked up by a friend shortly after their release. Also from a friend, a 1/2 bottle of Louis XIII Cognac which I don’t care for, but mix it with some Bundaburgh Ginger Beer and muddled limes and it’s pretty good stuff.... I am unaware of a French ginger beer or I’da used some. ? On to the cigar. These have a pungent sweet tobacco aroma at cold. Upon lighting there’s a distict woodiness which persists throughout, some sweetness and a fair amount of cream. Not a big stick and not much time for them to go anywhere else I’m afraid. I will say that with this example it’s clear they’ve got plenty of time left in them to age and smooth out. There’s still a fair amount of youth in the blend. Burn was dead even. Smoke production was ample. Total smoking time was 40 minutes. It was good enough to nub, and for me that’s saying something 4 1
BuzzArd Posted July 15, 2019 Author Posted July 15, 2019 AND before the entire forum asks, YES Smokin Cat was hangin with me. She’s cool with 109° As long as there are no ongoing earthquakes... 1

What I mean is, they now retail for closer to $150-200 a box which is nuts. But given the size, I think they were still pricey to start with. 1

Even got the LCDH to open boxes for him. A true friend.... Hit 6 boxes that looked superb and took them. 1
CampDelta369 Posted July 15, 2019 Posted July 15, 2019 In France i think there is legal statute regarding mixing Louis XIII Cognac with ANYTHING. But then again, Smoking Cat does TRUMP most French Law. I mean it is a damn fine cat... 1
RDB Posted July 15, 2019 Posted July 15, 2019 Ha. That’s like a $300 mug of ginger beer. But it is indeed a great looking feline.
