Popular Post nKostyan Posted April 20, 2019 Popular Post Posted April 20, 2019 I have long been looking forward to walking around this box, persuading myself to wait at least until September... But FOH weekend review comp pushed me to smoke the first stick.Aroma at cold: sweet cedar.1/3: velvet thick smoke. Taste: cedar, butter, salt, light sweetness. Minerals crunch on my teeth. The wrapper smells like toasted wheat bread.2/3: the cigar suddenly began to give a powerful refreshing taste. Here all together: sour, sweet, salty, spicy taste. Sometimes roasted tobacco appears and disappears. Between puffs aftertaste is driftwood with salted butter. After a while, the buttery taste disappears and now is dominates the woody and roasted tobacco tastes. Cigar added strength and I feel a pleasant weakness in the body.3/3: here the taste is clogged with resins, it is affect of the cigar youth. The tip of the tongue feels sharp and tingling. The taste is hard to separate, but it's a nice Cuban tastes mix. Conclusion: indeed 2018 is a great year for this cigar. I really liked the taste and it is much better than the Churchills of the past years, which I tried. I'm willing to put 5/5 stars up to advance, because with some aging this cigar will deserve them. 14
Bucky McSwensen Posted April 20, 2019 Posted April 20, 2019 Nice review! I have some with age that are lackluster and I'm trying to stay away from my 2018 which look amazing. Thanks for taking one for the team and providing a fine review 1
RDB Posted April 20, 2019 Posted April 20, 2019 Thanks for the review. That’s a super looking cigar for sure. I really like this vitola, I just rarely get the right amount of time to smoke them nice and slowly. 1
TheMonk Posted April 22, 2019 Posted April 22, 2019 Great review - that wrapper looks beautiful, much more so then you usually see on Churchills. 1
