It’s a very tasting cigar, but, to me, that price is way too high. There are aged regular production that are as good, better, and less expensive.

Please recommend Some please

Can't go wrong with a good Vigia with a couple years of age.

The Topes were worth it for me, because I was able to parlay most of the boxes I bought into Punch DC (a cab and a dress box), through trades. Made me a happy camper, and the people who got them very happy also...win win.

Aged, and less expensive

Monte #2, Diplo #2, Esplendido, Siglo VI, Trinidad Fundadores, Sir Winston, Connie A, Monte 80th

LCDH, but less expensive

Bolivar Libertador, Trinidad La Trova

I’m not denying that I like the Topes, but that price sours it a bit, for me.

Thank you so much! I agree the price does sour it ain’t for that price I could get two Siglo VI or one of Siglo and two others

Siglo VI is the only thing I'd consider. The topes were/are that good. But because of the confection you'll likely have to pay more of a box of Siglo VI. Unless of course you manage to get your hands on a box of 10.

You haven't tried one yet so I don't fault you... But buying boxes of random/cheaper cigars for the sake of value is for the birds. If I have money left over to buy a box of Príncipes or RASCC then fine. However, holding out from buying a box of something just to have volume of crappier cigars I don't want to smoke? Buy what you like. Smoke what makes you happy. You can't take any of it with you. I wish you either land some Siglo VI or get your hands on at least a few Topes singles from the LCdH.

Better to love and lose, then to never have smoked a Topes at all. I always say...

I’d buy a single, smoke it, and then decide. If possible, I’d smoke it right there at the shop.

There are many cigars that are great, but everyone’s palate is different...

Ok ladies and gentlemen please can you recommend a cigar that is the same or better value to try

Rafael Gonzales Perla.  ;)

Honestly, how's a third person to give advice on what's a good value to you? A cigar of 40 bucks will never stray in the category of "good value" for me, ymmv.

Still wishing I pulled the trigger on 24:24 when they were on clearance at around 269 if I recall. That’s when not too many people wanted them due to the “absurd ring gauge”.
Similar to the Vigia, then everyone wanted them.

Guys, why let your decision on what you like and what to buy be driven by "hype" or exclusivity. Truth lies in the smoking. Smoke and repeat.

Good value for me is in RASCC on sale, a humbly Favoritos or, if Trini - Reyes. Else is fun, indulgence and weakness. :D
