Popular Post nKostyan Posted March 2, 2019 Popular Post Posted March 2, 2019 Cohiba Siglo VI tubo 2018 factory code unknown I always fear cigars in tubes, why the in Russia they often come dried, that for Cohiba is critical - restored Cigars have weak taste of. However, these Cigars are in good condition, and the cap of the tube is so tight that pressure is created in the tube. At Cold: Aroma is faint, tender pastry spice, tobacco, caramel, white bread. 1/3: the Start is a bit rough, like a young Robusto, but the cigar heats up quickly and the roughness disappears. From the very beginning, a cigar gives a lot of smoke of good density, which is rare for such a big format. The taste is herbaceous and spicy: fragrant herbs, sweet spices and buns. From the Linea 1492 series I like the whole Siglo line that I was able to try - all numbers from I to VI, except for the rare Siglo V. Siglo I and II have a very strong but simple taste, Siglo III and Siglo IV thanks to the format have a good balance and a more complex taste, Siglo VI is the largest in the line and of course it is my favorite Cohiba along with Esplendidos. Back to the cigar: it is not completed 1/3 yet, but taste has evolved- added the cream. Taste has many components. Ashes don't have beautiful rings because I make slow puffs, this cigar is not conducive to haste. I digressed, and the ash have fallen on my pants, marking the transition to the next third. 2/3 After the fall of the ashes the cigar strength increased, this often happens when the cone is released from the ash and the burning is taking a lot of oxygen. I thought about a drink, but water is not enough. Let's try to alcohol pairing, and such a wonderful cigar requires appropriate alcohol- my choosing is Baron Gaston Legran 1974. This Armagnac is five years older than me and was given as a birthday present. It has a mild flavor of dried fruits: dried figs, nuts and spices. The birthplace of this drink, as well as birthplace of the protagonist of the novel by Alexandre Dumas “Les trois mousquetaires" - Gascogne, France. The drink refreshes the taste buds and I can focus on the cigar again. The strength fell slightly, added a nice acidity and there was nuts. There is a lot of smoke, it is velvet and dense. I do not take a drink before each puff, I only occasionally rinse my mouth and alcohol gives me a fresh perception of the Cigar. The taste is complex, I can hardly distinguish roasted nuts, sweet and sour herbs, a little salt, cream. 3/3 When I broke the ash column saw the cause of not smooth burning-tunnel. A little lighter flame and it's ok again. There was a bitterness of almonds and alcoholic taste. Since then, the drink is very harmonious with the cigar and creates a single powerful taste. Despite the high strength, the taste of the last third is not spoiled by resins, it is Cohiba in all its glory. Conclusion: Imperceptibly passed 2 hours. I often, like many cigar lovers, grumble about the undeservedly high cost of Cohiba. At the same time I catch myself on the fact that with all the variety of excellent Cuban cigars, I return again to the purchase of Cohiba. Of course, Siglo VI deserves 5/5 points and this assessment is taking into account the disadvantages of high prices. I recommend everyone to try at least once this "magnificent Havana". 13
MigsG Posted March 2, 2019 Posted March 2, 2019 That review made my mouth water, just imagining the interplay of those flavors. . I've never had any Cohiba except for the Siglo I, and as I "mature" in this journey, I will keep this cigar in mind as one of my future goals. Great review! 1
CaptainQuintero Posted March 2, 2019 Posted March 2, 2019 Brilliant review my friend, I've been pushing out into different whisky recently but I still can't beat a rich brandy/at/calvados 1
