Popular Post canadianbeaver
We just had a wonderful holiday in South Beach, Miami. We did not bring Cohibas, RA’s, Trinidad or Hoyo’s. These would be our usual selection for smoking poolside or anywhere any day. I was not supposed to smoke because I had this surgery on my friggin’ mouth. Well screw that. Three days in I decided my health was fine. We found two nice B&M’s and chose our usual favourite nc’s. Padron, La Aurora Tubos and Opus X. As an extra pair to add, we took Ashton VSG. After these were gone, we repeated some and got some Davidoff because felt the ones we had hit and missed. As usual, La Aurora Tubos were the best so far. Then we got home. Yesterday we sat and enjoyed lovely Cohiba robustos here with our drink and music. No big deal. Except they were so fantastic with smooth smoke from beginning to end. Flavours changed by thirds on the stick and relighting maybe twice? Mr Beaver says, “This is why we smoke these things”. Nc’s are not. Badda bing and there we go. CB
oliverdst
I don't debase NC's because I simple do not smoke them. I am so into Cuban culture that even if I was sure NC's were better probably I wouldn't have them. Last but not least, importing cigars are so hard in Brazil that if I will risk my coin I will do it for Cubans. PS: I am kind of in the same level you are. Doctor says and I think if I will "obey" or not. I am no proud of it but this is the way things are going.
Whisky91
There is something about the flavors and aroma that I absolutely love about Cuban cigars. There are NC that I also really enjoy but I am obsessed with Cuban cigars.

Last night at family dinner we decided a family trip to celebrate Mr Beav’s 60th birthday should go to Brazil! How exciting! Not until June but will post where we will be going and maybe we shall meet for a Cuban smoke ? CB
Popular Post smokum
Today was a Coro from 08 box I just opened. Haven’t smoke a NC since the early 90’s. So satisfying. Had to smoke in the heated garage still but well worth it.
BrightonCorgi
I tried a portfolio of Davidoff cigars last night at Scotch & Cigars event and they did not disappoint. First NC in like years probably for me. I did not find them to be lacking in any respect to a Habanos. Perfect construction, well aged flavors... They're not cigars to be aged long term, but for sheer enjoyment they were all on par with Habanos.

RyviaUSA
If you prefer the cuban profile, then no NC will touch it. I prefer that delicious maduro profile that a NC like Padron 1964 brings. To me, it's hands down amazing. Then again, if you manage to get a Cohibo Robusto that is aged well and draws well, then that is also so amazingly world class it's unreal. It's like comparing Scotch to Wine or Craft Beer.

It´s 800 km south Rio, 400 km south Sao Paulo and 640 km east Foz do Iguassu. Let me know when you have something set. I cant promess I will meet you because this year I am in a tight budget but at least I will try to help you with some places to have a smoke.
canadianbeaver
Going is tentative. Just even talking about going and meeting for a smoke is great. ?? CB
