mwaller
I've always overlooked this one because it's... small. But I'm finding that 15 minute cigars suit me well, provided they're tasty and strong. How are the recent Demi Tasse?
mt1
Would rather go for a Partagas Short, PLPC, RGPC, Monte Media Corona...heck I prefer the Partagas Chicos and Cohiba Shorts over this ERDM. I just don't think it's good value.

fabes
I enjoy them. These and the Hoyo du Maire. They are not 15min smokes. More like 30 if you rush them, but I can get 45 min easy out of these. They need to be smoked slowly to get the best out of them. That said, like previous posters have said they are pricey for the size. A box of minutos is roughly the same price for more tobacco. Can’t help much with recent boxes as mine are from 2013. If you’re looking for 15min cigars, look at Cohiba/Trinidad Shorts & Partagas Chicos.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk None taken brother. I read OP's question as (1) how are the ERDM Demi-Tasse, and (2) what other good ~15mins smokes are there. Yes, you can nurse a Partagas Short for an hour if you want but you can smoke it for 15 mins and ditch it too, it gives you all the flavors up front. For a few bucks more per box than a Demi-Tasse, you can get Partagas Aristocrats, Habaneros, PCEs, etc... my point was just that at a similar price point, there are bigger and better options and you just don't have to finish them if you don't want to (you're effectively spending the same money even if you don't finish them and they are all formats that give you the flavor right from the start). JohnS
@mwaller, I think you'd need to sample a few El Rey del Mundo Demi Tasse for yourself to decipher if they're strong enough for you. Certainly, there are stronger short cigars available. Personally, I find them quite satisfying in their youth or with some age flavour-wise.
Fugu
The price just isn't right. Not a 15-min smoke, but still... Dunno what HSA thinks of these in terms of pricing.
mwaller
Thanks for the comments! Sounds like I need to try the Cohiba shorts and/or Partagas chicos. FWIW, I have - and enjoy - many of the other sticks mentioned, including Partagas shorts, HUHC, Monte Media Corona, PLPC, RG Perlas!

Dunno what HSA thinks of these in terms of pricing. It's borderline for me. 2,35 CUC/each if bought in Cuba...but then you can get RAS for 5,75 CUC... For 1,50 - 1,90, it would be awesome. I smoke them incredibly slow. They're just better that way. But 9/10 times, I will grab an RG Perla, Reyes, PLPC, or Part.Short. That 1/10 time is just me wanting to switch it up

I love them, they age beautifully, but quality is random and nowadays they're way too pricey…
Kierkegaard
These are some of the last great cigars I have smoked. I bought a box from Rob about a year ago with an SGA MAY 17 box code. When they arrived, I smoked 1 and it tasted like dirt, it was harsh and pretty much unsmokable. I put them in humidor at 17 degrees Celsius(63 fahrenheit) and 67 RH and let them rest until my patience took the best of me, two weeks. The next one I tried was nothing like the first, it had notes of coffe, nuts, fruit,(quite citrusy), sweet and it also had a very great nutty and flowery(almost parfume-like) aroma with hints of burned sugar... They got progressively better until the box ended. To me they were amazing. One night of working I must have smoked 8, and no matter how amazing they were, after about the 4th, the aroma was so intoxicating to the point I started blowing it away from my nose, so as not to pass out. Then again, I did order from some sources in Europe, and no matter the rest they were unsmokable, but then again, everything was. But I thing it is a source problem, not a cigar quality one.Sent from my Moto G (5S) Plus using Tapatalk

ERDM DT prices are ok. The cheapest I've bought them was for $67 USD to a max of $74 USD. The usual price is about $90 USD. I love the ERDM DT. They were my regular short smoke for work. Now I have Cohiba shorts that fill the gap. I still smoke the ERDM DT when I want a quality short smoke. I have 3 or 4 boxes in my wineador and I am looking forward to see how they age. I like the HdM Du Maire also but at about $100 USD I am waiting for some specials/sales to come up. 19 hours ago, Kierkegaard said: These are some of the last great cigars I have smoked. But the majority of the ones I have smoked have been great. I do agree with the floral notes but what I also find (which is why I love these) Is the nut and ERDM short bread flavours. I love enjoying these with a coffee or a glass of sparkling.

BuzzArd
Wow... Not much love for these.... Personally I’m a big fan, and I stock up on coupon days. Have 8 boxes on hand. Definitely like them with a little time on them, but that’s hard for me to do. Younger ones have some more snap in them. If they’re rolled right (too loose and they will burn fast and hot) they suit me fine. I’m hard pressed to finish one in the under 30 minute drive to the shop Saturday mornings.
