Popular Post slowsmoke
Managed to squeeze this one in after work today. I clipped a few from the xmas sampler last night, and picked this one because it had the best draw. Also, the wrapper was beautiful and smelled like milk chocolate. And, I am a fan of the La Punta, but have never had a Fuerza. Paired it with absolutely nothing. First puffs were the molasses I have heard others describe. Really nice. Also the pancake flavor I love in La Punta. I was surprised to get both of those flavors so soon after lighting it, and so clearly. But barely halfway into the first third, the molasses faded and disappeared. Second third was bready, but not pancake, more like a dark rye bread. There were some other toasted flavors going on that I couldn’t describe, it pretty much stayed that way into the last third. The ash on this thing was almost totally black. Not very attractive. Final third got dark, some char. Time constraints were closing in on me and I probably over heated it. Normally I hate char, but this was quite tasty. Almost like burnt brown sugar. I couldn’t help but think of the Connie A I reviewed a few days ago. That cigar was pretty good, but nothing special, and ultimately I walked away thinking it’s just not for me. This Fuerza was also pretty good, but nothing special, and yet I found myself thinking I really like these flavors. The San Cristobal profile may be more in my wheelhouse. Maybe my palate is less refined than others. Either way, I have a six pack of these resting, and if they are as good as this one, I can see myself buying more. 4
99call
Great review. It definitely sounds like it's got potential.
dicko
Great review. I like the favours in La Fuerza too. They improve with age in my opinion too.Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
