Puffington Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 Hey guys, been years since I've posted. my name is Gene. I go to cuba 3 or 4 times a year for over 10 years. Usually I just read and look up threads. I have a question though. What do you guys think of the Sir David cigars? Worth it?
Lotusguy Posted October 31, 2018 Posted October 31, 2018 I smoked a generously gifted stick recently and based on that I would get a cab, if I could score one.
Chucko8 Posted October 31, 2018 Posted October 31, 2018 I was lucky enough to get along to the launch of the cigar in Hong Kong. I was impressed by it and have since sourced 10 sticks form a split. Given it was a fresh stick, I thought it was very complex and amazing. I'm not an expert though. 3

Far be it from me to impugn your impartiality, but I would guess a dog turd wrapped in banana leaves would taste like an average PSD4 in that venue, with that view..... I mean, I'm sure the Sir David is gaood... but you know... ?

Enjoying the PCC events ? 1
mbflash80 Posted October 31, 2018 Posted October 31, 2018 Have a few en route but dont plan on smoking them for a good bit. The price is steep to be sure...will be a special occasion smoke for me...with the hopes that there are some special occasions on the horizon...

I bought as many as I could when I had the chance but haven't smoked any. I figured age never hurts. I heard a rumor that they're delaying/ canceling? the release because of all the leaked sticks got David Tang's daughter mad. Has you heard about this?

I don't wait for special occasions, the cigar IS the special occasion. 6 1

For sure some cabs made it out to LCDH in the area (legitimately) so I think too late to cancel...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but they have to pay the going rate even before production is considered for these? If so, yes cancellation would be a rumor at this point. Most likely, so that someone can grab all they can first

Most likely, so that someone can grab all they can first From what Rob had explained before, RE require payment upfront so yes, it would be very costly for the distributor to pull the plug...

Besides special occasions usually have enough going on by themselves...why not spoil yourself with an added special occasion all to your own or with a couple close friends
