Partagas has some serious QC issues

You have previously seen pictures of the bandless Bolivar Petit Coronas from Partagas factory. 

OK...maybe a one off, a bad day, I found half a dozen boxes over a couple of mastercases. No biggie. 

Then today I was going through a truly spectacular case of Bolivar Royal Corona.

What a strange combination of circumstances. Partagas is rolling consistently excellent cigars in 2018, but can't manage to box them properly.

I'm sure it happens, but stealing them off the cigars???  My guess is someone went to work either drunk or hungover, or simply dgaf, or a combination of the 2

If they are being stolen, which is definitely a possibility, they never hit the cigars. The QC manager is "on the take" or is at least aware that someone is. The bands get dropped in someone's pocket by the bundle and the naked cigars go out the door with a "Pass" on the QC sheet. Everybody gets a little cut and every bodies happy. (at the factory)

I wonder how much they spend on labels each year,maybe testing the waters for a future with out labels for every day smokes {very clumsy way to do so but you know its cuba}

I suspect I will come across plenty more. 

This particular box is with the distributor. They can go back through the chain of command to try and identify what is going on. 

If the system works as it should (stop laughing), PCC goes to their HSA contact who goes to Tabacuba who goes to factory manager who goes to QC. 

That will require 5 people in a row who actually give a flying fig. 

It is the same odds as ken dating a super model next week.

You can always take the bands off a box after receipt.

I agree with @pbibby. As much as I like the bands, sometimes it's nice to see a box of sticks with beautiful oily wrappers naked like this.

I've watched almost all of your reviews and I have to say, Ken is a strikingly handsome young man! I have no doubts that he could somehow manage to date a super model!

A model that doesn't want to be spotted on his porch is a model not worth looking at!
