Hamlet at Intertabac

I went over to the Intertabac fair in Dortmund on Friday morning until Saturday night to have a look at what was going on.

Great trip, very tiring, I wished I had more time. My phone tells me I walked 45,000 steps over the two days.

It was really nice to see some of the familiar faces from Cuba and elsewhere. Gino, Nakamura, Irish, UK, European and US retailers and cigar-smokers.

Nice to see some of the upcoming Cuban releases too.

One of the highlights was seeing Hamlet, I hadn’t seen him since he left Cuba in 2015. Great to catch up, he's looking well, eating well. He and I both.

Great form. He sends his regards. It’s great to see him doing so well. He’s doing a quick tour of northern Europe after Dortmund, of Belgium and the Netherlands. I only got to spend 30 minutes or so with him, he was meeting-after-meeting with Rocky Patel and clients but there were some great laughs with Gino and Nakamura.

I tried one of his 25th Anniversary cigars, I don't smoke many non-Cubans but it was very nice. I'd smoke one again.

On a side note, those Hoyo Escogidos look very nice and fairly priced.

And the Cohiba shorts, nice packaging and perfect for those "I want a Cohiba but I don't know if I like cigars" type of friends.

The packaging for the Cohiba Shorts is a winner for them.  The Trini Shorts should be another winner.

My first time at Intertabac and amazing how many people makes cigars in the world..... 

Great catching up and looking to see each other again in Dublin end of the month.

I smoked few Por Larranaga Regional Edition, ...the one that had a good drawing WAS FANTASTIC. ...... I wonder why 2 out of five, in 2018, where plugged!
