If you had a choice between a box of these or a box of punch punch, which would you choose if you only had enough to buy one?

I feel both can be inconsistent (construction)but if I had to choose,based on flavor and body, I go with the JL2 every time.

I’d say you can’t really go wrong either way. Both have a nice sweet note to them, with the PP being more about sweet spices, and the JL2 being more floral sweet, IMO.

Another vote for JL2. I prefer the corona gorda format of the PP but my box of 2014 JL2s are smoking wonderfully right now.

When purchasing from store, is there any way to request a hq or psp box, or is that only available if you purchase a box on the 24:24 sale? I was looking for this info in the forum, sorry if this was covered already, I’m a newer member, thanks everyone ?

While I don’t have an answer for you, you might have better luck getting an answer posting this to the newbie q and a thread.

Whe n purchasing from the store, you will get a mixture of psp, hq, and pe. They don't pick a  certain grade, you just get what comes up.  They send  a minimum of PE, which is better than most sent from other sites. Have never been disappointed with any purchase from the store.

While I enjoy both, if given the choice, JL2 all day long.

They are great and can be smoked with very minimal rest. I picked up a box too and then thought I had best get a second... already made a dent in the box I currently have and I'm hoping to lay them down for a while!

I ordered another box. And then thought I had best order another. Got one box to smoke whilst waiting for the other two to come and then onebox to smoke whilst waiting for the one box to age...

F9r the money they are a cracking and tasty smoke. Good vitola and good draw and burn. Really can't argue with them.
