[El Presidente]

Great day in the warehouse

...but this box was the pick of the day. We once wondered why they seldom used decent wrappers on Presidentes. That's out the window these days.

Did you think this about the wrappers several years back, in general, or an issue with warehouse orders that came in of this cigar? 

I have two boxes in the collection coolidor, 2012 and 2014 I think.

I have inspected a lot of Partagas Presidentes over the years but it has only been in the last 18 months or so that I have noted an uptick in the quality of wrapper used.  There are few dogs at all.

I got some Presidentes from 2014 that look mighty fine. Not that good, but maybe weekend box photo contest good.

Interesting. Sometimes I think this is why there are lots of particular aged items, like 2014 Monte IV’s, for example. Another of course is a bumper crop of 1999 this & that gets passed from collector to collector. That reputation of the cigar plague at that time is so multi faceted that it is hard to get the real scoop.
