PLEASE DO NOT DISCLOSE WHAT YOU THINK IT IS .. just email Lisa [email protected] Once we have everyone's responses we will reveal the cigar. The final date for your result for Cigar Number 5 is Monday August 6th ( Australian Time ) Just to remind everyone of the rules The Rules First of all thanks to Di and Lisa. Cigars (all 5 and bandless and are numbered 1-5 in order they are to be smoked) will be sent the week of the 6th of February. I will select cigars from same code and aroma/wrapper appearance as best I can. 2. . Cigars selected will be in current production. Cigar 5 by the first Monday of August . Each time I will post the results via spreadsheet on the forum 7 days after the close of date. To the winner (who can correctly select most cigars sent) A $500 Gift voucher (USD/AUD). In the event of a tie, prize is split. Must be used within 90 Days of the end of the competition Also: A $25 credit for any cigar you pick right to be used on a box (or sampler) purchase over $125 (USD/AUD) from the carts or 24:24 stock. busdriver Posted July 13, 2018 Posted July 13, 2018 I missed out on smoking number 4 but will be right back in there without a clue on numero 5!
Guest Nekhyludov Posted July 25, 2018 Posted July 25, 2018 Mercifully, my humiliation is nearly over ?
MrGlass Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 I smoked this one over the weekend and it was just another really enjoyable cigar. I'm looking forward to doing this again next year.
Azksig Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 I'm smoking cigar #5 while I type this. After my initial puffs I have it narrowed down to 3. Hopefully some distinguishing characteristics show up so I can nail this one. 1st 3rd - Draw has a slight resistance which is how I like it. Wrapper is Colorado/Rosado in color. Burn is spot on. Very smooth. Just under medium. Some leather notes with a hint of chocolate/cocoa. 2nd 3rd - The volume of smoke hasn't been a lot of very pleasant. Getting more woodiness than the 1st 3rd. Toasted tobacco. Have it narrowed down to 2 now but I'm sure I'll be way off base. Final 3rd - it's ticked up to just above medium now. Volume of smoke is plentiful now. Occasional hint of cocoa or cooking chocolate. Some almonds and toasted tobacco. Some spice I can't quite place but not a lot of it Overall thoughts. Very nice cigar. A solid 90. Would like to have some more. Guess submitted. . 1
Jfeath74 Posted August 5, 2018 Posted August 5, 2018 Smoked #5 this afternoon and enjoyed it very much! Rich flavors, perfect construction, dark oily and smooth wrapper, an absolute treat. Hoping to up my last year total with a third hit here. Thank you Rob and team for arranging the competition, happy to enjoy some great cigars!
schquigly Posted August 6, 2018 Posted August 6, 2018 Smoked cigar #5 yesterday. I couldn't stop staring at the wrapper, it was one of the nicest wrappers I have ever seen. The cigar was perfectly rolled and the draw was spot on. I picked up a strong coffee and quality tobacco flavors that stayed consistent throughout the cigar, evolving slightly with some earthiness. This was a really high quality sample and the blend was excellent. That tobacco flavor gave me an idea of what this cigar is.
First Lady Posted August 7, 2018 Author Posted August 7, 2018 Still waiting on a few guys to get me their pick
fastkiller13 Posted August 8, 2018 Posted August 8, 2018 I totally forgot to submit my pick. Oh well, I'm sure had I submitted it would've been wrong but since I didn't it will be correct. Kinda like the light wave/particle thing. 1
