OllyBond Posted June 11, 2018 Posted June 11, 2018 Hello everyone, I was wondering if there is a difference between regular production robustos and the ones in the combinaciones seleccion. It comes out to about $20 per stick. The only one I see that has an average price of $20 is the Cohiba. Are they supposed to be better than the average joe? Or is it just the fancy packaging thats creating such a big price differential?
mt1 Posted June 11, 2018 Posted June 11, 2018 They taste the same to me, you're really just paying premium for the packaging and the variety. I think it's intended to allow someone who wants to gift cigars to someone, but doesn't know anything about them, so it's a safe pick instead of buying an entire box of something the recipient might not love (and despite the high per stick pricing, it's probably still cheaper than most full boxes since it's only 6 sticks). 1
Lotusguy Posted June 12, 2018 Posted June 12, 2018 Waste of moneyNot if you like chewing on a cedar stick - because that’s what they taste like
mbflash80 Posted June 12, 2018 Posted June 12, 2018 Ive probably bought 50 or so of these over the years...always used as business gifts...most times they have 4-5 years of age on them when purchased...but I can't recall anyone who received them as a gift ever telling me how fantastic they were...for what thats worth (not much considering the audience isnt seasoned smokers) 1
OllyBond Posted June 12, 2018 Author Posted June 12, 2018 Well that satisfies my curiosity. Thank you
