Kitchen Posted June 10, 2018 Posted June 10, 2018 Hello Group, So I have been loving the Epi 2 of late, but just wish they were a bit longer. Are the Epi Especials the same blend (or similar) and longer? If they are different, how different?
Gamehawker Posted June 14, 2018 Posted June 14, 2018 I have been wondering about this too. Any thoughts?
Ciscojohansson Posted June 14, 2018 Posted June 14, 2018 Interesting question, one could think that the Especial is a longer version of the Epicure nr 2 but would like to know for sure.
Danimalia Posted June 15, 2018 Posted June 15, 2018 I can't compare the especiales with the no.2, but I can say the the no.1 is probably not the same blend as the especiales. For me, the especiales deliver a bit more flavor intensity and sweetness. They do share a similar profile, but they're more like brothers than identical twins. Might be the same with the 2s. The especiales can be amazing and definitely worth a look. The only downside to these cigars is both the boxes I've had (of the 1 and especiales) have had draw issues. Way too many by plugs and tight rolls.
Wilzc Posted June 18, 2018 Posted June 18, 2018 Bought a pack of 15 Especiales in Tubos... Possibly all 15 of them were plugged to varying extents... Cuba....
