Davidoff NYC

Recommended Posts

So fellas, I’m thinking of heading to NYC next week to check out one of the Davidoff stores for my birthday and have a cigar. I work in Newark and it’s only a quick train ride over.

My question for you all is - have any of you been to any of their NYC locations and if so, did you smoke a cigar directly from their humidor? Did you find the cigar to be too wet or was it enjoyable? I’m wondering if I should bring a stick (not even sure if I can) and purchase a couple to take home.

Any insight would be helpful. I’m just “assuming” that the Davidoff humidor would be better regulated/maintained but I could be mistaken lol

I've smoked at all three (only handful of times) and my favorite if I had to choose is probably the one downtown (Brookfield place) - the room to smoke is a little more discreet than the other two in Midtown.

The (my) rule at any B&M is to buy at least one and at least then feel better when smoking your own should you choose to (take the band off to avoid staff questions I guess)

Of the ones I've bought and smoked at the locations they've all burned and tasted well.

Enjoy!

Great to hear from someone who’s visited and enjoyed a stick or two there, thanks for the info!!

You can’t go wrong with any of them, but I agree that the newest one, in Brookfield is probably the best one.  The 6th Ave location has a big window, which is great for people watching, but not great if you want privacy.  I’ve had good and bad smokes, but if you bring a bad smoke to the attention of the staff, they’ll replace it for you no problem.

I work two blocks up from the one on Madison. The smoking room is pretty small but as long as your not there on a Friday you should be able to get a seat. I've had no problems smoking any cigars out of their humidor. The one on 6th I don't frequent as often and I've never been to the one downtown.

I’m not a big fan of Davidoff cigars, BUT I love their pipe tobacco, pipes, and the beautiful accessories! I have a bunch of odds/ends including a beautiful humidor. Their sense of aesthetics is wonderful. I’d love to visit a store one day for a smoke, a definite bucket list item.

I find the smoking rooms at Davidoff NYC nice but not “lounge-like” if that makes any sense? They are simply the the part of the store they allow you to smoke sold cigars.

Now. Bring your cigars you like best and make a reservation to go to The Carnegie Club to hear music and smoke your brains out.

That is my favourite cigar time in NYC.

Cheers!
