99call Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 Fred Dibnah was a legend of the North. One of the last Steaplejacks, and men of the industrial age. Basically tough as old leather, but also an oracle of anything steam powered, or covered in grease. For all those who are lost and sad in the age of "virtue signalling" and such nonsense, lets take a moment and remember a much simpler better time. Here's to Fred! 2
99call Posted April 13, 2018 Author Posted April 13, 2018 Another bit of colour to Freds background. This is the "real" Dirty Old Town. It has nothing to do with Dublin/Ireland (pisses me off endlessly). 'Dirty Old Town" was written by Ewan MacColl about Salford, and Mills of Manchester. 1
99call Posted April 13, 2018 Author Posted April 13, 2018 Just now, Peekay said: The man had balls of steel, incredible. Yep, even the North Korean Government would of been concerned about his Health and Safety risk assessments!! 1
