What would you say is better. I have a pappy 12 year I just won in the Virginia lottery and I'm debating trading or selling it to get other stuff. I have tried a different 12 year bottle, and I was blown away. Considering I paid retail it's not that much of a loss if I decide to drink it. Sorry for side railing the thread ;)

I think one can get between $500 and $800 on the secondary market for pappy 12. My opinion only, i’d buy a case or two of something else that has the same value but not the demand. Pappy 12 is legitimately a $50-$80 bourbon in true quality/value inside that bottle. Continued enjoyment vs return equation up 800%!

This is now my favorite thread. Palm Spr... big whoop.lololol!

so many other bourbons absolutely rock my world, even though so many made by Buffalo Trace.

Weller Private Something or other, green label with gold script? Mmmmmmmmmm.

That green label is knows as WSW. Weller Special Reserve. 90 proof and a nice dram for the money. It’s a value Wheater. Also check out Larceny as a generally avail wheater that compares well.

Street Party around the corner from our hotel on Thursday nights. Should be fun tonight. The cigar store we went to first is not on the long participant list. Interesting. No biggie. The other ones were more favourable to us. But we will find some bench somewhere and smoke our CC’s I hope.

since this is gone to bourbon somewhat...........$50 bucks what bottle would you recommend ?

I love Eagle Rare. But I would also recommend a bottle of Old Forrester or Basil Hayden.
