It would build even bigger brand loyalty & add value to their base line pricing. In what manner do you imagine they'd promote this kind of information?
Colt45 Posted January 19, 2018 Posted January 19, 2018 We've had discussions re marques and the tobacco used to produce them, but I can't recall a firm consensus. Here's a little info from Habanos - scroll down to composing the blend: http://www.habanos.com/en/el-mundo-del-habano/como-se-hace-un-habano/

It brings the consumer closer to the genesis of the product like someone who has an affinity towards the vineyard that produces a wine. When all the details from the finca to curing barn are spelled out to show what makes a Montecristo different than a Punch, an appreciation for both goes with it. Pre-embargo days, consumers knew more about this. Now only a handful can really distinguish different tobaccos blind among the Marcas or even know where the individual tobaccos came from. I just think it's a missed opportunity by Habanos to educate and build allegiance. There is no reason to keep all of this secret. As an aside, are the international tobacco advertising restrictions the same for cigars as the are for cigarettes? There must be some gaps that Habanos can target. They are a luxury brand like Rolex, Gucci, or whatever... They need to be better at reinforcing this on the global stage.

I'm asking you how you propose they disseminate this information.

As an advertising & social media campaigns. Habanos sponsored social groups on FB for instance. Global contests and and via internet influencer's. Cross industry association/alliances would help too.
