Popular Post El Presidente Posted January 8, 2018 Popular Post Posted January 8, 2018 The great mysteries? Yeti? Loch ness monster? the Pyramids? Pfffft......they pale in comparison to the greatest mystery of all: "Where do Cuba's Hot Chicks Go During the Day?" Have you ever noticed? At night they suddenly appear like vampires blackening the sky with their countless numbers. Millions of them flood the nightclubs, hotels and streets. yet....during the day.....Nada...zilch For years I thought they were sleeping waiting for dusk but apparently not. I have to thank Di for stumbling upon them as I would never have found them by myself. You see....Di took me to the San Jose market at the port of Havana. It is a huge indoor market that I have not visited before. Mind you I haven't been to a dentist in cuba either and I regard both market shopping and root canals to be roughly of similar pain. OH HOW WRONG I COULD BE! Picture this. the market is made up of a couple of hundred stalls each vying for your coin. Roughly half of these stalls are fronted by what appear to be models. They are not shy either. One even had the temerity (or good taste) to blow Di and I a kiss as we walked past. I am pretty sure it was for the both of us. It could have been for me.....or Di. Let's face it .....I win either way So next time you are in havana and you need to do a little shopping for gifts etal......San Jose market at the port.....thank me later .....and yes.... Di is thrilled with my newfound enthusiasm regarding havana shopping 5 2 10

Kitchen Posted January 8, 2018 Posted January 8, 2018 It is an interesting indoor Bazaar that I stumbled upon too, and you cant miss it. The building use to be a locomotive warehouse and repair center, so it is a very large building and has two old steam locomotives outside. Just follow the harbor and you'll run into it. Attached is a picture I took inside last January. I wont comment on the looks of the lady within this image, but will say that as a professional photographer I look for great light and the lighting inside is only great near the entrance, so I did not bother shooting anything else really. But it is certainly worth it to take a look. 1
stogieluver Posted January 8, 2018 Posted January 8, 2018 Yes, it is a very interesting place. I owed payback to the wifey, so we took a cab there to shop. I didn't want to leave. Bought some stuff I didn't need.
Popular Post WarriorPrincess Posted January 8, 2018 Popular Post Posted January 8, 2018 Hmmm how long did it take you to tell...let us see not even 24 hours back at work He was like an excited little puppy having his first walk in the park or in this case, the market. "Not this stall Di, keep walking, third stall to your left go in there the shirts are better in this one " ....and so it went for over 2 hours. Then came the smooth talking, " Please don't come down from the step ladder just for us, the view is just great " or "could you please hold this shirt up against your chest to see what it looks like on" which resulted in a giggle from the lovely girl helping us. I swear I had to wipe the dribble from his chin at one stage We did laugh and I will take full credit for the new addition to Rob's tour of Cuba from now and all proceeds go to my shoe fund He didn't mention that we went back again a couple of days later just for one last look 11 11

Ethernut Posted January 10, 2018 Posted January 10, 2018 @WarriorPrincess ya must admit the Cuban ladies are a national treasure. I don’t recall having so much “DAYUM!” type of internal dialogue anywhere else on earth.. ..and when they dance, well, I must say I didn’t know hips and bums could do such a thing. So I totally get it and very much did LOL when I read Robs post, as I _completely_ understood what he was talking about. 1
