Popular Post zeedubbya Posted November 28, 2017 Popular Post Posted November 28, 2017 Don’t know if this is too late or not, but I smoked this today and just had to put this up. This cigar had all the Bolivar greatness. Earthy, salty, sweet, strength, transitions, clean clean tobacco, mouthwatering, just calls you back to it again and again. When I was hitting a shot I didn’t really care a whole lot where it went, was just glad to be playing in the Midwest at the end of November and getting back to this awesome cigar. 95 points plus with legs to go another 10 years. So...damn...good. Forget all the double banded dollar gobblers. Aged Bolivar is nearly as good as it gets. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 8
SCgarman Posted November 28, 2017 Posted November 28, 2017 These are classic. All the TEB 08 boxes were outstanding. Half a box left for me! 1
Sean3 Posted November 28, 2017 Posted November 28, 2017 Good stuff, how does this compare to the BBF, or BPC in terms of flavor and body? Thanks for the review.

Thanks for the review.Personally I think the Royal Corona doesn’t have as much strength as the BBF or the PC. What it lacks in strength though it makes up for in flavor. The RC is a more complex cigar to me than the other two. Maybe the most complex of all Robustos to my tastes. To me it seems as you climb the Bolivar size ladder you get less strength and more complexity with the BCG (what were they thinking!), being very medium with a lot of diverse flavors. Just my 2 cents—other’s experience may be different. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1

CrankYanker Posted November 28, 2017 Posted November 28, 2017 I cannot wait to try mine in a couple of weeks. They look great!

Look, tobacco quality - and in particular the Boli-blend - went down the drain twenty years ago..... 16 hours ago, zeedubbya said: To me it seems as you climb the Bolivar size ladder you get less strength and more complexity with the BCG (what were they thinking!), being very medium with a lot of diverse flavors. For me the vitola with the most strength and fullest body, followed by or on par with the Coronas Junior, which can at the same time also be a surprisingly complex, multifaceted smoke. P.S. Never too late for an excellent smoke! 1
CigarmanTim Posted November 29, 2017 Posted November 29, 2017 I bought every TEB box I could get my hands on back then. Superb. I still have a 50 box of 2008 TEB Bolivar Corona Gigantes. Sadly there are only about 25-30 left. Hard to keep my paws off them.
zeedubbya Posted November 29, 2017 Author Posted November 29, 2017 Was a great production run for sure! 2006-2009 (POS, TEB, and LRE) Partagas Factory had some real gems. And to@fugu’s point—A POS 50 Cab of BCE is a must find for me. I have been very fortunate to have some great members here get me enough to keep me sane until I find the right opportunity. Such a great cigar. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
