Popular Post Fatshotbud Posted November 24, 2017 Popular Post Posted November 24, 2017 First my disclaimer - I grew up in the age of Peace, Love & Understanding. When I smoked my first cigar Legend of the Mind by the Moody Blues was still popular and my favorite tune - something I could really relate to...... I could apologies for not using great format, knowing the catch phrases, total lack of writing skill and the fact that after almost 46years of smoking my taste buds can't pickup every nuance but to what point. Instead let me just express that a good cigar Sends me on a journey of some sort and this is what I will share as my review. The cigar is beautiful in presentation with the excellent construction you grow to expect from Bolivar. Medium brown color - cold smell of leather and tobacco. She is 54x164 (looked it up). The setting for this review was less than optimal to say the least plus I had only two matches to work with - Timothy Leary didn't really die until 1996........... First third = The initial taste I did pick up was coppery like you get burning Corojo leaf cigars. Then a memory of being young and receiving a new baseball glove - real leather. A cream taste coats my tongue and back of throat but the corojo and leather is most dominant.... so far a medium strength but does have smoke you can almost chew. Into second third = still the same - enjoyable yes but? - Then it happened....Eyes closed now I pick up a saltiness; very light and fresh - Imagine suckling the base of your lover's neck after a round in the shower....Where are we going here Boli? Now a slap in the face - Pepper with something like what you would smell in a fresh turned field. Got me excited and relaxed at the same time - camping out, surrounded by pristine nature, a scent of nice small fire to keep you warm...comfortable. I glance at my watch and see an hour+10 has passed and well into the last third = Goodbye pepper, no more salt but earth and leather stick around. More creamy feeling - fresh cut wood and that corojo coppery taste again....I released both the bands earlier and not sure where I am on this cigar any more. Whow! I swear (at about 2.5" left) We got a party going on in my mouth and I feel like that Grand Finale moment at a fire works show - All the flavors are rushing back in and this cigar is mellowing not getting bitter at all. I won't go on much more - smoked this fine cigar down to 1" -- Time check 1hour+40min. -- My new pal @Benzopyrene has done me a grand favor gifting this fine cigar. Thanks Luke - I never planned to do a review (as it is) but wow great stuff needs to be recognized. Crap pictures sorry LOL 17

You wouldn't believe it, but yes, these have come up in locker sales in the last few months. I remember distinctly one listing had multiple boxes available.

Fugu Posted November 26, 2017 Posted November 26, 2017 Thanks for the review. Much enjoyed your descriptions. Seems you were lucky and Benzopyrene selected a well-made specimen for you. Unfortunately, as to my experience, these too often come underfilled. But you don't necessarily have to wait for locker sales (unless looking for the very '13 production), this release is still being made.
