Popular Post havanaclub Posted November 19, 2017 Popular Post Posted November 19, 2017 These have been sitting in the bottom of my humidor since my trip to Cuba back in February. Box code : SGA OCT 16 Vitola: Geniales 150mm by 54 Beautiful Colorado wrapper with some nice sheen. Smooth and tightly packed. I dry boxed for about a day. Paired with diplomatico rum. I was concerned about construction issues from some previous reviews and the size of the cigar but I must say, this was one of the best constructed cigars I have had this year. Razor sharp burn and perfect draw. The first third was very pleasant. Nice sweet fruity notes with some classic Cuban twang. I haven't had many SLRs but can say that there were some similarities to the regios/slr DNA The second third picked up in intensity. Medium body with medium strength. This was the best part of the cigar. The finish was long with some more dark cocoa flavours and fruitiness. Last third got a little on the bitter/harsh side but not necessarily unpleasant. Flavours a little muddled at this point but picked up some coffee and toasted tobacco. With age the final third should definitely improve. I feel this cigar has some serious potential as the strength picked up in the final third and seemed fairly complex. Finish was medium-full. Smoke time 1 hour 45 mins Score 91 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 11
madandana Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 Good to hear. I've got a couple of boxes resting. I think I smoked one at Partagas opening in in 2016 but after splitting a bottle of Mastros not only were the cigar flavors muted but so was my brain. 2 1 1

Funny, I had the same experience with the one I smoked down there. As far as getting a box, the shop at Palace del Artes was holding a master case for a certain diminutive retailer from London and the shop staff did not believe me when I tried to impersonate him. 3

You did get some didn't you Pete? I thought you did. If not drive on out to Buffalo for one (or two). 2

CigKopf Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 Great review dude. I still can't believe you gave me one of these. Looks like this will be a great celebratory cigar when a couple years have passed 1

BolivarSmoker Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 Great review. I smoked one from my box a few months ago and had a similar experience to yours. Smoked my second yesterday and construction was so bad it was unsmokable. Hope the remaining 8 are like the former.Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
