It’s consistent with a few things we already know. Habanos S.A. announced that Cohiba would be featured at the XX Festival del Habano, which begins in late February. The annual festival is the time in which Habanos shows off its new releases for the year.

One of which will be a Cohiba Reserva, which according to the list will be the Cohiba Robusto Reserva Cosecha 2004 (4 7/8 x 50). It will be packaged in 5,000 numbered boxes of 20 cigars.

Habanos has also already announced the Partagás Maduro Linea, i.e. Partagás Maduro line, would be featured at the festival.

According to the leaked list, there will be two new vitolas joining the Maduro No.1.

  • Partagás Maduro No.1 (5 1/8 x 52) — Boxes of 25
  • Partagás Maduro No.2 (4 3/4 x 55 pirámides)  — Boxes of 25
  • Partagás Maduro No.3 (5 3/4 x 50) — Boxes of 25

Montecristo has been selected for the next Colección Habanos release. The 20-count books will contain Gran Pirámides, a 6 3/10 x 57 belicoso.

The three Edición Limitada releases are:

  • Romeo y Julieta Tacos Edición Limitada 2018 (6 6/10 x 49)
  • H. Upmann Propios Edición Limitada 2018 (4 3/4 x 46)
  • Bolívar Soberanos Edición Limitada 2018 (5 1/2 x 54)

The Romeo y Julieta and H. Upmann will come in boxes of 25, while the Bolívar is packaged in boxes of 10.

A special release will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Habanos festival. It’s called the 20 Aniversario Festival del Habano, which is expected to contain 100 cigars and limited to 450 pieces.

Ramón Allones will receive a limited release, called the Emperadores Extra. It uses the popular 109 format, a 7 1/4 x 49 Churchill extra with a rounded cap. It will come in boxes of 50, though it’s unknown how limited production will be.

Hoyo de Monterrey will receive a new vitola named La Hoyo de Rio Seco, a 5 1/2 x 46 cigar offered in three-count tubos, 10-count boxes and 25-count boxes.

The Vegueros Centros Finos measures 5 1/8 x 50 and will be offered in four-count cartons and 16-count metal boxes.

Both the Hoyo de Monterrey and Vegueros are regular production items.

La Casa del Habano franchises will receive the Hoyo de Monterrey Escodigos, a 7 1/11 x 49 cigar packaged in 10-count boxes.

The San Cristobal de la Habana Prado is also limited, though it’s unclear who will receive the 5 x 50 release.

Duty-free markets will receive the Montecristo Double Edmundo in 10-count travel humidors.

Finally, the Punch Preferidos (5 1/8 x 55) will be the German Edición Regional for 2018. It is expected to be limited to 10,000 boxes of 10 cigars.

The churchill size stuff sounds cool especially that RA's.  I hope they make enough of them for regular folks like me get a chance at them.

Not that I am holding my breath in any way - but if that's meant to be a 109, it should read ring gauge 50 - and has originally been called "Gigantes" - so what the heck?!!....

I like the Double Edmundo 10 count humidor.  Definitely picking one of those up.  I need a travel humidor and like DE's!  Oddly enough I normally take some DE's when I travel.

Looks to be an antique humidor release.  So probably between $3000-5000.  Comes with a humidor though...

I'm hoping that Partagas Maduro no. 3 size listed is just a typo, as I was hoping for that corona-esque rg of 40 vs. the 50 listed above (40rg being listed in previous lists). :frown:

I hope it's 40 but...

I can see going deep on the new Hoyo Corona Gorda.

If assume you’re talking about the La Hoyo de Rio Seco? I got excited too, but there seems to be a typo somewhere. The text says 46 ring gauge, but the spreadsheet says 56. I would prefer the 46.

Oh dang yes a 46 would be much better.
The san cristobal robusto'ish size looks ok too

Agreed. My initial excitement was tempered by the fact that the Hoyo de Monterrey Le Hoyo de Seco Rio is 56 ring gauge x 140 mm in that Leipzig LCDH instagram image. Surely wasn't the Geniales 54 rg x 150 mm HdM Le Hoyo de San Juan big enough? Yet, I have a 'soft spot' for the San Cristobal de La Habana blend, and I can certainly live with a new LCDH Robusto release in this marca.

I've been digging around trying to find the size for an Aromosos vitola de galera as in the Rio Seco.  It seems to have only existed (even in Hoyo De Monterrey) pre revolution--so there's not much info on the size.  If anyone has any additional insight I would like to hear it.  The 46 and 56 ring gauge difference is confusing.  I am guessing if it's a pre revolution size brought back it has to be a 46 RG.  Here's to hoping the 56 is a typo.

Edit:  Although it's hard for me to believe they would make a cigar only 3mm less than an Epicure 1...so I will temper my expectations.

Its possible, they made the Punch 48 with is almost identical to the Punch Punch. Its a shame they would introduce a 56gauge monster when they could produce the Des Dieux instead.

Oh son of a b. When this was first leaked the No. 3 was listed as having a similar length, but a 40 rg. Many people got excited. Why, it seemed so brilliant. A thin corona, to really let those maduro wrappers show off. And it might be more affordable. Yeah, maybe priced like the similarly sized Culebras. But nah, I guess it was a typo. This is more in line with what we expect. To be sure, I enjoy this size. It's just not as exciting as the skinny corona.

So, San Cristobal is getting a 5x50 pyramid. Which, some people might call a belicoso. Hey, belicosos are great. San Cristobal could definitely use a.... Oh wait. I joke, but I like San Cristobal

The new LCDH Hoyos is cool. Same vitola as the El Morro. I think this might be a nice choice for those of us who want some big Hoyos, but hesitate a bit at going in for a whole 25 box of DCs.

Vegueros robusto is nice, assuming it slots in with the typical pricing of the other vitolas. Not too many cheap and cheerful robustos.

What about the RyJ Club Kings and Party Capitols? Were they "2017" releases?

I hope it's a typo too...we'll see, but I wouldn't be surprised (if it's 56 rg).

Well the Romeo y Julieta Club Kings were meant to be a 2015 release, so perhaps we should all put the 'party' on hold until some these 2018 announcements actually come to fruition.

I'm surprised there hasn't been much discussion of the potential Cohiba Robusto Gran Reserva release? The Siglo VI Gran Reserva was hugely anticipated and lived up to its hype (from what others described) wish i had the chance to try one! Do we think this will perform as well? Pricing I'm sure will be top of the mark but from reviews it was well worth the price. Can someone refresh my memory on what the last cohiba gran reserva opened at price wise? And thoughts on the potential next release, reading posts of the Cohiba 2017 EL has me abit concerned regarding youth so with this being aged with leaf from 2004 I'm hoping for this stick to be a knockout, the most recent cohiba robuto's have been exceptional

MUST HAVE the 50cab Allones 109

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW

I fear this won't be a simple SLB, it will be a special humidor. So expect to be asked to shell out triple to quadruple the price of a solid Gigantes.....:(
