HdM Churchill 2002 : Ode to the 47 to 52 Review week

This is my first review here so let's see how it goes. Picked these up from a friend a few years ago and haven't had one for a while. I don't have an exact box date other than I know they are from 2002.

Starts out right away very mild with subtle sweetness and an almond note in the first third. Second third developed a light creamy coffee, almost vanilla flavor. Still very mild. Body picks up slightly in the final third. Flavor is pretty much the same as the second third, but with a noticeable 'bready' flavor. 

Admittedly, I am not a huge fan of HdM. But this stick was spot on, especially after the first third. Construction and draw were perfect as well, and the aroma while it was burning was heavenly. All things considered, probably 92/100.

Nice job! Also not a fan of HdM but, judging from your review, I'd probably enjoy that one as well.

... have line up with those saying the HdM is not a favorite Churchill. These were always a tad mild for me and I tend to have preferred the Le Hoyo line.

Cheers on your (successful) first review! I have two of these left from a 2002 box as well and I think I'll break one out soon. I've never found them completely satisfying, but they're the very definition of a pleasant time.
