Popular Post canadianbeaver
My father is a politician here in Ontario, Canada. The oldest in the history of Ontario, elected and still working every day at 86 years old. This week, my brothers, sister and I are cleaning out the home we grew up in. It was sold. It is literally filled with souvenir political loot. And the stuff we grew up with since I was three years old. I am 55. Imagine my thrill when I found this! Thrilled because I can show it on FOH. OZCUBAN
Hi Lisa I am from Perth ,and yes contrary to what @Fuzz says, yes we do have a Legislative Assembly. But having said that maybe your father should come over here I am sure he would be better than the idiots we have running the show here at the moment ,that aside you have a wonderful piece of memorabilia from the other side of the world ,from the most isolated city in the world. enjoy and Kudos to your Dad for a fantastic work ethic cheers Steve
stogieluver
My mother, who turned 90 last month, sold our long time family home about 12 years ago, & built a new, smaller home. My sisters & I did the same thing you & your brothers & sister are doing. It was a bittersweet experience. Sad to be packing up and cleaning out lots of memories, but we were glad we got to relive all those memories with our mother while she was still alive. Enjoy and cherish your dad and celebrate his life every day.

canadianbeaver
Lol! Cleaning up so much stuff that is dusty and fun, but once you hit 100 of something, like a pen or promo button, becomes more like *yawn*. However, today is Mother's Day of course, and my mom passed away in 2010. So anything reminding us of her is amazing. And we are taking a cigar break in the garden!

Popular Post canadianbeaver
Found this box of treasures in the basement of small items from various events and presentations the parents attended as members of parliament. And here are two cool medallions/coins/ collectibles! CB
