When they have their carnival for Liberation they do it on Friday and Saturday. You should be there for that. I want to say it starts in June and runs thru Aug.

It looks even more off than it sounds! understand and yes, off, but it is quite bizarre when you are there. they do give the birds mouth to mouth and there is no suggestion that this is odd or off but rather an accepted procedure and part of the event. and after, most of them spat on the chook's bum and then inserted their finger - they believe it helps calm the bird. odd but, well very odd. 1
