Ink Marks? Or something else?

Hi FOH,

 

Noticed some weird dark splotches on the band of a RyJ Petit Churchill (Tubos). Could this be ink marks/runs from when the band was printed? What do you guys think? Ive never seen this before.

If those black marks are on the bands only, then what's happened is that something has been spilt on the bands in the factory, in my opinion, and they've been used anyway on rolled cigars as 'nothing is wasted' when it comes to production in Cuba.

Appears to be a printing imperfection. Out of the 100 million + bands cranked out each year, it's bound to happen from time to time. I've seen similar things. Nothing to be alarmed about.

^^ or this. If the spots are raised or seem to be a substance deposited, then above applies.

NSXCigar? How long have you had your NSX for? I like Jap sport cars (I have an Rx7 myself).

It's black mold (Aspergillus Satanis Luciferius). Destroy the cigars immediately.

Bought mine in 03. Never getting rid of it. 

Before that I had a Supra that unfortunately was wrecked. I do like the FD3 RX7. Just needs an intercooler upgrade.

Bought my Spirit R in 2013 and never getting rid of it either. I like the Supra too. Hard to find in good condition. Haha and yes I am actually looking at an intercooler upgrade (along with airbox and radiator).
