What's going on with The Big Mold Versus Plume FOH Study?

The samples are currently at the BioTech Laboratories in Brisbane. Not quite sure where we are positioned in their job list but will hopefully have some answers soon.

Ok so the question is how does mold develop on cigars stored at 64f 62% ?

They are from 2008. He's only had them 2 months at 62%, but before that his buddy swears he had them in "ideal conditions".

Here's another thought about this kind of thing, but take it or leave it. Could also be a generation opinion more or less.

I visited a shop and said "plume", and the owner asked what the heck is that? When I explained, he said the proper word is "bloom".

As well, and this is more common in the US I think, pyramids are torpedoes. And "figurado", only commonly used in CA Magazine as far as I know.

I think about this stuff a lot. My mom was an English teacher and I play Scrabble.

I maintain my cigars between rH 62-67. I have yet to see mold and I have my wineadors for over a year now. What I also do is rotate the cigars that way they are simply not sitting in any one place. Try to keep them in their boxes.
It is a delicate process but the goal is not to over saturate your boxes as this will make hour cigars too humid and with high temps you can get mold.

Mine go in one of two large humidors at 60%rH, 70°F.  Never look at most of 'em.  Only real "mold" I've seen was on the sticks upon arrival. Some boxes haven't been opened in three years or more.  Not worried about them either....

I bought a 10-pack box of Davidoff 80 Aniversario cigars c.1990, with two of the sticks in cedar tubes and the remainder had the usual thin cedar overlay.  The box was placed in a wardrobe where the temperature fluctuated between 12°C and 25°C and the relative humidity ranged from 40 to 65.  After less than a year, I noticed that all the cigars (including the the tubed ones - note that the tubes had a small hole in them) had white crystalline deposits on them, which I brushed off.  The cedar covers had oily stains as well.  The droplets (if one wants to call them so) never returned, and those cedars still have the oily residue.  Did I have the elusive bloom/plume?  Surely it wasn't mould.  Ray (Piggy), I would be interested in your opinion - and anyone else's for that matter.
